A disc/stamp...Hey guys, thanks for the compliments! A disc/stamping is basically just a piece of metal that has been pre-cut into a shape. (round in this case) They can be silver, brass, copper, etc. You can also make your own shapes and cut them from a sheet of metal.

The disc I used is made of aluminum. One side is a little rough, but when I tried to file it down with some sandpaper, it got really scratched up. So when I made a second one, I put two discs back to back so that there are no more rough edges!brooklynsoulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01340513944650459399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7820756862600478621.post-77450941141861093252008-04-15T12:20:00.000-04:002008-04-15T12:20:00.000-04:00angie that is so awesome!angie that is so awesome!see steph sweathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10277082767389796108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7820756862600478621.post-54056312841328741022008-04-15T11:11:00.000-04:002008-04-15T11:11:00.000-04:00Is there any chance that you could elaborate on wh...Is there any chance that you could elaborate on what you used for the disc or stamping, because I had a cool idea to make a belt-buckle like your beautiful pendant, but I don't know where to get started.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7820756862600478621.post-31350850367029756472008-04-15T00:04:00.000-04:002008-04-15T00:04:00.000-04:00just wondering if the curves are still sharp when ...just wondering if the curves are still sharp when you are wearing the jewellery?Cate Lawrencehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11068520532566968605noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7820756862600478621.post-45219663122079848202008-04-14T21:49:00.000-04:002008-04-14T21:49:00.000-04:00YES! exactly! Aluminum from cans is definitely worth experimenting with. Lately I've been exploring using a dapping block to create half-spheres that can be combined to make spheres . . . and then, theoretically, beads. It's nice not feeling guilty about wasting material to experiment, especially when you can toss the scraps into the recycling bin.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7820756862600478621.post-87619913180429866652008-04-11T22:06:00.000-04:002008-04-11T22:06:00.000-04:00gorgeous!gorgeous!cakehousehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13304406872942927292noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7820756862600478621.post-63685264183726165622008-04-10T23:47:00.000-04:002008-04-10T23:47:00.000-04:00This is so pretty! This is so pretty!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7820756862600478621.post-26474497487195548362008-04-10T23:44:00.000-04:002008-04-10T23:44:00.000-04:00Sure!
