One of my favorite resources for learning about different artists and art movements and viewing their artwork is Artcyclopedia.com.
There is information for approximately 8700 artists on this site.
For each artist, there is biographical information provided, as well as links to where their images may be viewed and much, much more.
All in all, this is a wonderful website for fine artists and art lovers.
