Join us for free workshops every Saturday this Summer on Governors Island.

Where is it you ask? Well, it’s a cool and history rich island 0.7 miles south of Manhattan. To get there, just hop on the free ferry at Battery Maritime Building. The island is open only on Saturdays and Sundays and no cars are allowed. So...it’s a great place to bicycle either BYOB (the last ‘B’ stands for bicycle, Dudes!) or rent one on the island. How cool is that? That’s not all, on the ferry you will get to have great views of Ellis Island and  the Statue of Liberty.  So don’t forget to bring your camera and plan to spend some real quality time here. Psst, it’s a great picnic place too.

While you explore the island and its history and reconnecting with mother nature as it inspires you, come unleash your creative awesome at the free workshop we have set up for you at Better Than Jam Handmade Gift Shop. Many of the artists on display are members of the Etsy New York Team. So swing by and meet the artists behind the beautifully created works you see in the shop.
